- To propagate a multi-layer view of systems engineering
comprising product, project, business, industry and
socio-economic levels
- So to widen interest in and practice of systems
engineering to the benefit of UK industry

INCOSE in the UK and of INCOSE Chapters in Europe
- To counterbalance reductionist/systematic influences
